Marudi..My Hometown~

Do you know where Marudi is? Hoho...Marudi is a small town on the Baram River in the north of Sarawak which border the small country of Brunei. We took the Twin Otters from Miri airport (15-20 min). Can see the pilots control the flight directly. Chion & Foo so excited!

Express is another alternative way to come Marudi...The problem is..Miri port damn far! It took 3 hours journey to Marudi by river. If you lucky, you might see crocodile!! I saw Mr. croc once long time ago.

The beauty of Carving. Orang Ulu really good in art craft~ Like this photo so much coz the angle gua...haha ^^V

Landmark of Marudi..Longboat! Coming October another longboat competition will be held at Marudi~Too bad, I miss this big event!

Fort Hose was first built in 1898 on a hill which faces Sungai Baram.

Today, the Fort Hose and Baram District Museum houses several cultural artifacts that show the life of various ethnic groups of the area. Other artifacts in the museum also show the music, economy, culture and weapons that were found in Baram.

Library! New and colourul building in Marudi. Last time, library just one floor. This new library provide a good for Marudian to study or to read. Fully air-cond and study tables even discussion rooms! Wow... One thing I found out..sofas in library damn comfortable! Make me feel wanna lay on these sofas.
